In the Catholic Faith, religious education begins at birth. Parents create a family atmosphere animated by love and respect for God and man and are recognized as the primary educators of Catholic youth. Enriched by Mass and programs of the Church, children are taught from their early years to have a knowledge of God, to worship Him, and to love their neighbor.
Parish School Religion (PSR) is the St. Michael Faith Formation Program for students in grades 1-8. Its primary responsibility is to promote the ongoing faith formation and education of its students and families through prayer, celebration, service, and sacraments. Families must be registered parishioners in order to participate in this program. If you and your family would like to become members at St. Michael Church, please contact the Parish Office.
Junior High Youth Group meets the spiritual needs of students in grades 6-8. During the school year, junior high school students experience their beliefs in ways that will challenge them and encourage them to dive deeper into their faith.
High School Youth Group meets the spiritual needs of students in grades 9-12. During the school year, this community of believers builds relationships, participates in service activities and social events, and becomes a part of the greater Christian community.
Please contact Katherine Walton for more information on our Youth Group program.

Child Protection Information The Archdiocese uses the SafeParish platform for Child Protection training and compliance. SafeParish is an organization that specializes in training and education solutions for organizations world-wide. They have 20+ years of experience in providing child safe environment training programs. SafeParish will continue to work with our current background check provider – Selection.com. Ongoing child protection training will still be required for all volunteers and employees - it will consist of quarterly interactive video-based training instead of monthly bulletins. Please check your email for an invitation from SafeParish (administration@aocsafeenvironment.org). If you have received the message, simply follow the prompts. Otherwise, you can link to the SafeParish address and click the “Register” link to begin the process. It is your responsibility, to make sure your contact information is current and the list of locations in your account is current. You can add and delete locations by going to 'Update My Account.'
Background Checks Everyone MUST have background checks completed – either electronically and/or through fingerprinting. If you have questions, please contact Mary Heilers, St. Michael Safe Environment Coordinator.
